Lorenzo’s creative foundation stems from growing up in the shadows of Los Angeles’ subculture scenes, specifically, the San Fernando Valley. He studied at the University of Southern California (USC) where he earned two degrees and later worked for a handful of major studios including The Walt Disney Co., NBC, and CBS.

Traditionally, a more reserved person, though over the past few years, Lorenzo has made it a priority to step out of his comfort zone. This materialized in the form of three solo backpacking trips to South America, Southeast Asia, and Australia respectively.

Although LA is home, Lorenzo’s desire to venture and experience life outside the States is particularly strong; hence, a large portion of his photography captures life globally. Whether it’s spending four days on a motorbike in the mountains of rural Vietnam or enjoying a coffee in the city center of Bogotá watching life unfold, he’s always carrying his trusty film camera. This is Lorenzo’s preferred visual medium, enabling a high level of intentionality in what he shoots, thus, connecting him to the surrounding environment.
